THE BEST VIDEO ABOUT UBUNTU EVER !!!!!

I used to run Windows with a single celled AMD 64+, 1,25GB RAM computer. IT USED TO LAG ALL THE TIME. IT CRASHED ALL THE TIME. I needed a new computer big time. I checked the prices and I had in mind a Vaio…(damn expensive)..I could afford it but then I would not be able to afford a single bubblegum. I asked a friend of mine what I could do…He joked about it and said” Why don’t you install Linux?”…We both started laughing…Then I got home and I thought to my self “Why the hell not?” Then I downloaded it, installed it…and for nine months now I run Ubuntu and not a single time it hasn’t let me down. ! ***Don’t get me wrong though..Linux is not only about the looks. Want some proof? The video you just witnessed was rendered on free Ubuntu OS through a free video editing program(kdenlive)-and I had 5 programs running at the same time-, that were running on a single celled1,25GB,Nvidia Geforce 6600LE computer.!! Linux will get the best out of your computer no matter what..! Trust me on that… Who said that you get what you pay?

xUbuntu (Home) Server Hardware Build (Canon SD960 IS Video Test)

Indoor audio/video test of the Canon SD960 IS. In 720p HD @ 30fps. Just messing around with the camera, remember this video has been compressed by YouTube so its not really full HD, ontop of that the original file is .mov right off the camera, but I had to cut someone out of the video so i converted from .mov to .mpeg but it still looks great running off my computer and on YouTube too. Specs of xUbuntu server: P4 2.4ghz 256mb RDRAM 500gb HD (u can see 2 hard hdrives in the video, but i removed those two 80gb drives and put in one 500gb drive) ATI 9600 Pro AGP Video Card (NOTE: you do not need a dedicated video card to run linux especially a server but this gateway did not come with onboard video) Creative Audigy LS Sound Card (NOTE: again you do not need a dedicated sound card either but the motherboard did not come with any audio onboard either!!! Dont ask me y!) DVD-R/W Drive I chose xubuntu because its a simpler version of ubuntu, it doesnt have all the fancy gadgets also i chose it cuz of its GUI cuz im new to linux server and didnt care for the CLI. Please rate and comment! More videos on the server setup coming soon!

5G iPod video running original OS, Linux, Rockbox, and DOOM

SCROLL DOWN FOR INFO Full video of my 5G iPod video running original OS, iPod Linux, Rockbox, and DOOM on Rockbox A lot of people have been sending me messages asking for help but I am too busy to help 3 people a day install this onto their ipods. Visit ipodlinux.org for the bootloader and the linux part of the software and rockbox.org for the rockbox software which runs doom. I think the rockbox website has the download links for the doom if not just search for them. Please note that I installed this when there wasn’t any easy method of installing as there is now. I messed up my ipod really bad but managed to fix it. If a 15 year old can manage to do that with nothing but common sense all of you should be able to install it with no problem. PLEASE STOP MESSAGING ME ASKING FOR HELP THIS IS ALL THE HELP I CAN GIVE YOU!!!
